GBUS 9863: DESIGN IN STRATEGY READING SEMINAR

 

This doctoral reading course focuses on academic research about the topic of design thinking as it applies to organizational strategy. The purpose of the course is to understand the links between design thinking’s system of action and analysis with emerging strategy theory. Readings are drawn from seminal works in strategy, entrepreneurship, and design that contribute to original research on the topic.

 

Academic course objectives

 

·         Expose students to the source of design thinking’s theoretical origins

·         Provide a framework for developing theoretical and empirical research papers in the field of design thinking

·         Allow students to develop original research that extends the developing nexus between strategy and design thinking
